Al Asilah Desalination Company

The 5-hectare desalination plant is used to obtain urgently needed drinking water from the abundant seawater. The electricity for this complex process is generated regeneratively by solar energy, which accounts for 20% of the electricity demand. 80,000 m3/d of water production The project is expected to revitalize the entire region and provide drinking water to about 200,000 people. The plant is located about 400 meters from the coast on the east coast of Oman and was built 6-9 meters above sea level. The new plant is expected to produce 80,000 cubic meters of drinking water per day. With an output of 2.6 MWp, the PV plant of our local partner, Bahwan Engineering Company, ensures the energy supply.
