Monitoring platform from meteocontrol supports Salzburg AG in operational management

Salzburg, Augsburg – Ensuring a secure and sustainable energy supply in the province of Salzburg and thus security of supply for its customers are key tasks for Salzburg AG. Advancing digitalization plays a decisive role in reliably fulfilling this task, even in an increasingly complex energy market. Data security and modern operational management processes are essential for this.

Salzburg AG decided to partner with meteocontrol and its central asset management and monitoring platform VCOM (Virtual Control Room) to address these issues. The comprehensive solution meets the highest requirements for data security, flexibility, and the digitalization of operational management processes.

In the wake of digitalization and the growing complexity of the energy market, Salzburg AG was looking for a solution that not only guarantees reliable monitoring of its portfolio, but also leaves complete data sovereignty with the customer.

Salzburg AG uses the VCOM CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to digitize operational management processes. Work orders and tickets can be processed digitally. Thanks to smart functions such as VCOM Automation, Salzburg AG can delegate routine tasks and significantly increase the efficiency of its maintenance and service processes.

Markus Matschl, Head of the Renewable Generation Department at Salzburg AG, explains: “As a responsible energy company, the security and data ownership of our operational information is our top priority. The fact that the meteocontrol platform also allows recurring tasks to be easily automated, thereby saving resources, is an additional advantage.”

Hanja Hainš, Sales Consultant at meteocontrol, says: "We are delighted that Salzburg AG has placed its trust in us and chosen VCOM. This partnership confirms the added value we offer our customers in an increasingly complex market environment: a central, transparent, and user-friendly platform for efficient O&M management. This partnership-based approach is exactly what drives us, and we look forward to helping shape Austria's energy future."
