One Click That Counts – A Look Back at the 2024 Click4Charity Campaign

100 days until Christmas – time to look back at our 2024 Click4Charity campaign – an initiative where meteocontrol supports nonprofit organizations that mc employees are actively involved in. Let’s take a look back together: Who was nominated, how did the voting go – and how were the donations used?
The Concept Behind Click4Charity
“Sustainable commitment instead of traditional Christmas gifts!” – that’s been our motto at meteocontrol for several years now. There are countless associations, foundations, and nonprofit organizations working toward a better world. So why not use the Christmas season to support those who are already making a difference?
Click4Charity works in two phases: In the first phase, our colleagues nominate organizations they have a direct connection with – whether they are actively involved in them, know them through personal experience, or regularly support their work. In the second phase, both our employees and our social media community vote on which projects should receive special support.
These Were the 2024 Nominees
Six organizations were nominated by our colleagues.

The Voting Results
In total, meteocontrol donated €5,000, which was distributed proportionally among all nominated organizations. After two weeks of voting – both internally at meteocontrol and externally through our social media channels – the results were in: The Ballschule of TG Viktoria Augsburg e.V. received the most votes, followed by Wildwasser Augsburg e.V. and UNICEF. The other nominated organizations also received a share of the donations.
Donation handover at the meteocontrol Headquarters

We were especially pleased to welcome representatives from several Augsburg-based organizations to the meteocontrol headquarters for the handover of the funding. During a casual gathering, we had conversations about the organizations’ work and gave our guests a tour of the company.
A highlight of the day was the official presentation of the donation checks by our CEO, Chris Liu.
We also learned how the donations were used:
TG Viktoria Augsburg
Thanks to the funding, children at the Ballschule received new jerseys and equipment – helping them discover the joy of sports.
Vesperkirche Augsburg
The donation supported food distribution and shared meals – central elements of the Vesperkirche as a place of community and connection.
Montessori School Augsburg
The contribution went to the “Schulsozialplatz” project, which enables a child to attend the school despite financial barriers – and benefit long-term from Montessori education.
Wildwasser Augsburg e.V.
The donation helped implement prevention workshops and produce materials for schools in the fight against sexualized violence.
Click4Charity shows what’s possible when many small clicks create something big. Whether it’s a nomination, a vote, or sharing the campaign – every contribution counts.
We sincerely thank all colleagues and community members who participated and are already looking forward to the next round. One thing is certain: doing good will remain on our agenda in 2025.
