Hybrid EMS Project: Celsia's Solar Palmira 2

The Celsia´s Solar Palmira 2 project has made history in Colombia: This is the first PV system farm in the country to be equipped with a storage system. All PV excess energy is being transferred to the battery so it can be used at night for a higher self-consumption. The system is located in Valle del Cauca near the city of Cali.

Meteocontrol supported the Colombian energy company Celsia with project management, integration of the 2 MWh battery and commissioning. A blue'Log XC with the Hybrid EMS solution is used to regulate the PV system and to control the battery. The plant itself has an installed capacity of 12.9 MWp and more than 23,000 modules. VCOM Cloud is used to monitor the system.
