Information on returning batteries in accordance with Section 12 of the Battery Ordinance (BatterieVO):

In connection with the marketing of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, meteocontrol GmbH is obliged by the Battery Ordinance to point out the following to users:

Batteries must not be disposed off along with household waste. As consumers, users are obligated by law to return used batteries. Users can return the complete device, including the batteries in it, to meteocontrol when they use it no more.

Batteries containing harmful substances are indicated by an icon (a refuse bin with a cross through it). The chemical name of the harmful substance is given near the refuse bin symbol. Explanation: Cd stands for cadmium, Pb for lead, and Hg for mercury.

German Packaging Act (VerpackG):
Information on taking back packaging in accordance with §15 (1) VerpackG: In connection with the sale of hardware solutions in Germany, meteocontrol GmbH is obliged to take back used, completely emptied packaging of the same type, shape and size as the packaging it has placed on the market free of charge at the place of actual delivery or in its immediate vicinity. We will of course be happy to fulfil this obligation, please contact us (einkauf@meteocontrol.de).

Indicaciones sobre la devolución de pilas según el artículo 12 del Reglamento alemán sobre pilas (BattG):

En relación con la comercialización de pilas y baterías o con el suministro de aparatos que contienen pilas o baterías, meteocontrol GmbH se compromete, en virtud de lo dispuesto en el Reglamento sobre pilas, a informar al usuario de lo siguiente:

Las pilas no deben desecharse con la basura doméstica. En calidad de usuario final, el usuario está obligado por ley a devolver las pilas usadas. Tras su uso, el usuario puede devolver a meteocontrol los aparatos enteros, incluidas las pilas que contienen.

Las pilas o baterías que contienen sustancias contaminantes cuentan con el símbolo de un contenedor de basura tachado. Al lado del símbolo del contenedor se encuentra el símbolo químico de la sustancia tóxica. Explicación: Cd significa cadmio, Pb plomo y Hg mercurio.
