meteocontrol GmbH
Pröllstr. 28

Purpose and legal basis of data processing
We process your personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. We take photographs or make films at our trade fair stands and/or at events. We indicate this by displaying signs. We publish these recordings on our social media channels or on our website on the Internet. For recordings that depict a larger number of people or on which people are not the focus of the recording, we also base the processing on Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. The processing takes place on the basis of legitimate interest. Our legitimate interest lies in the external presentation of our company. Insofar as special categories of personal data are processed, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 9 para. 2 lit. f) GDPR.
For certain other processing, we also base the processing on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit a) GDPR). This concerns, for example, photographs in which people are in focus or portrait photographs. Here, however, we will ask you separately for your consent to publication. Insofar as special categories of personal data are processed, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a) GDPR.
Important information on the publication of personal data on the Internet
The following risks are hereby explicitly pointed out:
- The possibility of national and international retrieval of data posted on the Internet from the public and non-public domain. The data stock advances to a generally world-wide accessible source.
- Threat to the right to informational self-determination in the event of worldwide publication of the data. This can arise from the fact that the data can also be accessed in countries where there is no or insufficient data protection standard. Thus, an adequate level of data protection cannot be ensured in every case.
- The data entered can be read unnoticed and stored, changed, falsified, combined or manipulated in a variety of ways.
- There is the possibility of a globally automated evaluation of the publication according to various search criteria, which can be linked with each other in any way (e.g., creation of a meaningful personality profile by combining information about the professional position, the area of responsibility of the persons with data from the private context).
- Commercial use e.g. risk of unsolicited mail and harassment.
- By making the data publicly available, there is no need to verify the recipient's legitimate interest in knowing the data.
- Once the data has been stored, the recipient can continue to use the data even if the party providing it has already changed or deleted its Internet offering.
Duration of storage, or criteria for determining the duration
We retain the data you provide to us only as long as necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes or as specified by the various storage periods provided for by law. If the respective purpose ceases to apply or after expiry of the corresponding periods, your data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions. In the case of consent, we retain the personal data until the consent is revoked.
Transfer of your data to third parties
We only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have given your consent.

Consideration is given here to ensuring that appropriate/adequate safeguards are in place and that enforceable rights and effective legal remedies are available to you.
